Sam/Dean

Newish this week

Ben has Two Dads by [personal profile] regala_electra and [livejournal.com profile] ignited. NC17, Spoilers for S3 'The Kids are Alright'. Funny, with a nice, real feeling characterisation.

Old, but I only read, or re-read, this week

The World's a small child in the dark by [personal profile] stele3. NC17. Sometimes I don't rec fics because I know everyone with the slightest interest in the fandom would have already read it, but, you know what? I'm going to rec this anyway, because I think it may actually be my favourite Sam/Dean. Spoilers for AHBL2 written before the start of season 3 - it's a dealing with the deal fic. Hurrah.

Erm. John/Sam

Thump (NC17) and Replacement (R). Fantastic couple of fics in a pairing I rarely read, but they're really excellent by [livejournal.com profile] disanddat. Daddycest, obviously, so think before you click, but really very good. A look into John's head in a realistic way, which is, I think, rather rare in daddycest.

J2

I'm really enjoying the rather silly, but very funny chubby Jensen kink that's been going on recently, and A Surfeit of Tarts by [profile] memphis86 and the older Jensen Ackles: Bigger Boned by [profile] minjmeraar are both funny, touching and adorable (and NC17).

Old, but I only read, or re-read, this week

Code of the Winchesters by [personal profile] schweedie. G. Wee!chester brotherly bonding. Adorable without being overly sweet.

I came so late to fandom (this summer) that I've missed so much, and this fandom is so huge that it's impossible to catch up. For this reason, I really appreciate recs, and yours are always great, so yay!

I'm so glad you said that, there's so much out there, it is a bit intimidating, isn't it!

Oh my gosh, I just read " The World's a small child in the dark" and it was amazing. Thank you so much for the rec.

Does the writer have an LJ?

She used to, but I think she deleted it due to all the fuss with LJ. She's on Journal Fen:

but I don't think this fic is up there. *shakes fist at LJ*!

She's also at InsaneJournal http://stele3.insanejournal.com/profile but is moving out of the fandom.

Also wanted to say thanks for older recs as I'm also relatively new and have still not read a variety of "classic" fics.
