Recs: Favourite Fic List

I just felt this needed to be done for my own gratification.

Here is a list of my favourite fics in all the fandoms I have written in OR read consistently over my 8 years (with a few breaks) in fandom. I gave myself a pass to include two if one of my favourites was pure porn (which it often was).




Fandoms in what I have wrote:

Supernatural/J2

J2 - esohpe's The Jared Padalecki Untitled Project

Supernatural gen - ...and say hello to the gen. I know. No one is more surprised than me. kroki_refur's But for the Grace

Supernatural S/D - calicokat’s Fathomage (some het!)

Supernatural S/D - and in the just the porn, ma'am, just the porn category poisontaster's Sex Pollen verse (D/s themes)

And, hell, have to give an honourable mention (again in the gen category) for big_pink’s Red and sequel Dazzleland. And also destina’s Indelible. WTF with all the gen?! To compensate, hang the one story per fandom idea, and have this lovely wincest too nymeria’s Hush. (OK, sorry, back to one per fandom – more or less.)

Sk/K - lorelei633's Shaken (rape and abuse)

Smallville

Clex - Koi's Mercy (dark)

Highlander

D/M - Dayspring's Save the Last Dance for Me. Or did I mean her The Mottled King? Or, no, was it Sleeps With Coyotes' Still Heart?

D/M for the porn - CM Decarnin's Hades (8 parts) and sequel Seeds (S/M relationship, references to rape and abuse), or wait, was it Aristide's The Declaration? Or maybe Mariad Triste's (same person, actually)Shades of Gray Trilogy (dark, dark, dark)?

(Ahem. Got a bit carried away there.)

Man From Uncle

Annnd it's gen again! - And possibly the fic I would take with me if stranded on a desert island (and, you know, knew in advance to take fic) - Pat Foley's Partners

Star Wars

Q/O and O/non-human - Sleeps with Coyote's Fear. The squick factor is high - this is a crossover with Alien including Alien!non-con and torture. But. It is amazing.

Stargate SG1

Jack/Daniel - ELG's Alter Ergo and sequel in the just the porn category (drugged!sex)

There are some fics I just couldn't do without, and I think you starring all your favourite excellent recs with a heart would be a great idea. There's so much great fic out there.. it's so hard to choose (see above ;-)

I read the Cesperanza dS stuff a long while ago and remember the name and even the story titles, because it was all so good.

You are very right that some authors are worth following into fandoms that one otherwise has no interest in.

You were my inspiration when I began writing Prison Break fiction, and the brothercest in particular. That was such a love-driven relationship in such a more-than-normal way, and you'd definitely planted the seeds.

The notion of writing as well as you do is still far, far off into the future. ;)
