Random - including rec and pimp!

1) I've finished my jb_ficexchange fic already. I hope the person likes it :/ I don't know them at all and the details they gave on the exchange list don't really tie in with the fic they've written, and there isn't MUCH fic for me to get a real handle on, so I hope it's OK. I was hoping to get novaberry and then I would have KNOWN what to write. KINKY PORN FTW! \o/

I've got SO many fic ideas at the moment it's kind of hard to wrestle anything into submission and actually write it. Still, it's better than the barren fic wasteland of the last 18 months - thanks for that, BTW, SPN scriptwriters :( - so I'm OK with that really. I've got plots for JoBros and mostly porn for SPN. \o/

2) Which leads me to the real purpose of this post... pimping! Sign up for mini_nanowrimo (if you haven't already or signed up for ACTUAL nanowrimo, in which case KUDOS TO YOU). It's only a minimum of 100 words per day, I think I can do it, and you can too! EDIT: EEK! For the first time in 5 years I've changed my default userpic from the darkside's cookies *feels oddly sad* because I only have a lowly basic account and 6 icons is NOT ENOUGH for two fandoms AND nano. :(

3) Read Revelations , an old gen fic about Henriksen getting teamed up with Agent Dean Winchester. Usually something like that would obviously have me going, "Hmm, needs more Sam," *click* so you can tell how great it is by the fact I read it and thought it was brilliant.

Also just re-read Replacement, an old, short John/Sam. No actual sex (Sam's not even in it) but wonderfiully atmospheric.

4) Feedback re random shaving post. The wise and wonderful flist confirmed that other products work just as well (I've maybe found using my standard shower gel this week is not quite as moisturising as shaving cream, but that's what rich body wash and moisturiser is for, right?) and that the men's Mach 3 razor is superior to the womens' version. Surprise!sexism. I guess I shouldn't actually be surprised?

EDIT to add: 5) The Jonas Brothers apparently covered Busted's "Year 3000". What? I mean, if you're going to cover a Busted song, "What I go to School For" is clearly the ONLY choice, right? Edit again: Ahahahaha! Apparently they DID cover that too... but they cleaned it up some, of course. *dies laughing*

Hmmm. You're SO ahead of the game I think you should actually just POST what you've written TODAY, and then write something ELSE for the fic exchange. Sound good?

Ha! Good thinking, but I'm not risking it. You know I'd post that in a rush of unusual confidence and then NOT BE ABLE TO WRITE ANYTHING AGAIN EVER! ;)
