Some recs!

If you’ve recently been abducted by aliens and not read [profile] fleshflutter’s big bang fic then you have been a fool to yourself. Yourself will never forgive you if you don’t read it right now. Seriously. Call in sick.

Also you must read [personal profile] jeyhawk’s freshly minted fic with Jared as a ballerina/mechanic and Jensen as a fire fighter. Soo good and so well characterized.

And finally it’s bandslash. No, wait! It’s soo good and if you’re not into bandslash I promise you you can read it perfectly well as awesome original fiction. It’s set in a universe of slavery and is just sooo good. It’s called ‘But Not the Song' and can be found here: [profile] shacklesnchains. Just. Fantastic. As an extra sweetener, it’s written by [personal profile] emilyray and [personal profile] ignipes, purveyors of great fics in many fandoms, including SPN.

You do not need to know anything about Panic at the Disco, but if it makes you feel better, there is one sentence to describe each of the four main characters underneath this cut,

1) Ryan Ross is somewhat angsty and a little bit mean. And very thin.
2) Brendon Urie is enthusiastic and energetic.
3) Spencer Smith has been best friends with Ryan Ross since they were five and six.
4) Jon Walker is calm and laid back.

That is all.

EDIT: I had to edit this post to change my icon after I just found this one, or otherwise make a GIP. I so very nearly made it my default pic. If it had finished with 'What of it?' I would have had no choice.

I KNOW! My comment was mostly gnghnadajdhajdsklfhakjhakj!!!!

Sooooo good wasn't it? [livejournal.com profile] fleshflutter is basically one of my favourite authors of all time. So glad you enjoyed, Ruth!

Um....pssst....hey, Jas....over here....yeah, um, just a little fyi...I'm not Ruth. * shakes head, looks around conspiratorially* ...no, I'm Raven. The other "R" at the Shack. *g* ....yeah...

*winks*

I'm going with the assumption that the memory of the fic scrambled your brain. It's a good out. *g*
Besides, that fic could do it! *lol*

Doh! *is an idiot... and does indeed, blame the brainmeltingly hot fic... there's a lot of mileage there!* You can call me Bob ;-)

Maybe I'm going crazy, but I could have sworn I saw a post from you asking for help with recs? I can't find the post at all in my flist though...

Well, either way, I get the feeling you wouldn't mind hearing about a reccomendation so... Have you read anything by Astolat? Here site is here (http://intimations.org/fanfic/). No J2 but plenty of Wincest. I especially liked Kings and Queens and Jokers Too (http://intimations.org/fanfic/supernatural/Kings%20and%20Queens%20and%20Jokers%20Too.html) and Punxsuntawney (http://intimations.org/fanfic/supernatural/Punxsutawney.html) and Under Hill (http://intimations.org/fanfic/supernatural/Under%20Hill.html) and if you don't mind crossovers (Harry Potter, in this case, but the usual cast doesn't come into it much, and its after the books) Old Country (http://intimations.org/fanfic/supernatural/Old%20Country.html) is long and amazing.

I KNOW! When my friend recc'ed it to me I was doubtful - crossovers with HP don't ever seem to go very smoothly. But she manages both universes amazingly. And working on the car! And Sam with white hair! And the freakin house!

... Yeah. I'm fairly certain Astolat owns a part of my soul by now...

She's clearly collecting them ;-)

I don't usually even read crossovers, but. Just. Amazing. I got my non-fandom friends to read it too, it was just sooo good!

Hey you! I'm appearing briefly just because I was thinking about you after diving headfirst into the X-files and finding some of your fics. :P And loving them enormously.

I hope you're doing well!

Hi Cam! Hope everything's OK with you. Ah, the X-Files... the discipline days. Yummy! The first fandom I wrote in really - maybe I'll get back into it with the movie!!!
