I refuse to fail on my first day, and have only committed to 200 words a day, so I’ve written a bit of my <span style='white-space: nowrap;'><a href='https://hlh-shortcuts.dreamwidth.org/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png' alt='[community profile] ' width='16' height='16' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' /></a><a href='https://hlh-shortcuts.dreamwidth.org/'><b>hlh_shortcuts</b></a></span> fic, which may never actually see the light of day as the plot is still, uh, nebulous. But! Words. Let’s call it a win…<br /><br />Day 1: 212 words, an extract for HLH fic.<br />Day 2: 317 words, SW5 started at 3,660 words and finished at 3,977.<br />Day 3: 402 words, started Yuletide!<br />Day 4: 246 words, Yuletide started at 402 words and finished at 648.<br />Day 5: 279 words, Yuletide started at 648 and finished at 927.<br />Day 6: 263 words, Yuletide started at 927 and finished at 1190.<br />Day 7: 275 words, Yuletide started at 1190 and finished at 1465. Works in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, *crickets* 2023, 2024.<br /><br />I have also signed up for <span style='white-space: nowrap;'><a href='https://yuletide.dreamwidth.org/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png' alt='[community profile] ' width='16' height='16' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' /></a><a href='https://yuletide.dreamwidth.org/'><b>yuletide</b></a></span> and <span style='white-space: nowrap;'><a href='https://hlh-shortcuts.dreamwidth.org/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png' alt='[community profile] ' width='16' height='16' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' /></a><a href='https://hlh-shortcuts.dreamwidth.org/'><b>hlh_shortcuts</b></a></span> 2024. Given that I haven’t written in Highlander for more than 25 years, and have never written in the fandoms I’ve offered for Yuletide, this should be fun 😬.<br /><br />I’m going to challenge myself to a mininanowrimo of 200 words per day in Nov. I’ll join mini-wrimo on lj if they do a 2024 one🤞, or I’ll just challenge myself.<br /><br />What are you writing in?
